About Anne Fraser:
Anne Fraser is the founder of The Night of Hope and is also one of the top-producing Real Estate Agents in the Kansas City area with The Fraser Team. However, what sets Anne apart is that She has been living with Pre-Alzheimer's since the age of 50.
Personal Experience:
Having experienced the devastating effects of Alzheimer's and Dementia firsthand, with both of her parents passing away from these diseases at a young age, Anne understands the immense toll it takes on families. As Anne was their primary caregiver for three years, she witnessed the hardships and challenges that come with this disease. No one should have to endure such pain.
My Faith:
In the darkest days, even when Anne didn't have the strength to open her bible, she felt God carrying her through. As a Christian, she found solace and strength in her faith. It gave her the determination to continue fighting and searching for ways to make a difference.
Living with Pre-Alzheimer's:
At the age of 50, Anne received the diagnosis of Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) or Pre-Alzheimer's. Additionally, She discovered that She has one copy of the APOE4 gene, which increases the risk of developing Alzheimer's. Anne immediately began working with her doctors to focus on her lifestyle, diet, exercise, and brain health. Through this dedicated approach, Anne was able to regain her cognitive function and maintain her abilities at 100%.
The Birth of The Night of Hope Gala:
Witnessing the positive outcomes of prioritizing brain health in her own life inspired Anne to give back to the community. In June 2021, Anne took part in the Longest Day Fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Association. Anne organized the first-ever Night of Hope Gala as her Longest Day activity. Despite being inexperienced in managing galas, Anne had approximately 200 people attend and raised over $20,000. It was a significant accomplishment and a testament to the power of determination and community support.
The Night of Hope:
The Night of Hope's mission is to raise awareness and funds to support the fight against Alzheimer's and Dementia. We believe that by coming together as a community, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by these diseases.
Annual Gala and Goals:
The Night of Hope works throughout the year to bring awareness to Alzheimer's prevention through a variety of fundraising and educational events. Following the resounding success of our inaugural event, we recently celebrated the third annual Night of Hope Gala on June 10th, 2023. The event garnered an incredible turnout, with over 440 attendees coming together to make a difference. Through their generous contributions and unwavering support, we were able to raise over $155,000, a testament to the collective dedication towards our cause. Looking ahead to 2024, our ambitions soar even higher as Anne Fraser and the Night of Hope committee continue to tirelessly work towards expanding our impact.
